Darja Popolitova

Darja Popolitova is an Estonian jewellery artist and designer. Her unique direction emerged during studying in the Estonian Academy of Arts and broadening her skills at Florian Ladstätter’s studio in Vienna as well as being tutored by Tanel Veenre.

She has chosen to create jewellery that pulsates on the verge of youth and individuality. Along with new approach to recycling there are also classical techniques in her works. Darja Popolitova formula is a fusion of modern freedom and urban nectars.

The “Transcrystal” jewellery series has a complex character: along with clear silhouettes, there is also a mysticism of transparency. Referring to Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen” fairy tale, crystal vases have been chosen as the source material of earrings, brooches and pendants.

Her conceptual jewellery has been exhibited in Holland, Germany, Brazil and Spain among others, and has found its place in private collections.
